Suzanne Smith, NCC

Suzanne received both her Master's and Bachelor's degrees from the University of North Georgia. She earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialty in addictions. She is currently working towards full licensure under the supervision of Skye McIntyre, CPCS, LPC. She completed her internship with Hall County Treatment Services. Suzanne has experience working with a variety of ages from older children to adults of various ages as well as working with both individuals and families. Suzanne focuses on creating a sense of safety and trust for you, your child, or family to connect, explore, and heal. Her goal is to meet you through an authentic and collaborative approach.  

Suzanne's style is eclectic where she utilizes a variety of techniques from evidence based theories such as Family Systems coupled with attachment theory, CBT, Solution Focused, and Motivational Interviewing. Not one technique fits all, and Suzanne strives to meet the needs of her clients where they are at within their healing process. 

Her specialty areas include addiction, family members affected by addiction, eating disorders, grief/loss, identity formation, and life transitions. Out of work, she is training her 1 year old Brittany doodle to become a therapy dog. She enjoys playing tennis, spending time on the lake and with her nephews.
